🎂 Age Limit
Age: 18 years to 40 years.
Date of Birth: Those born between 02 January 1985 and 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive) can apply.
Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes will be eligible for the usual age relaxation.
The maximum age limit should not exceed 50 years under any circumstances.
📚 Educational Qualifications
Educational qualifications are divided into three main parts: Item I, Item II, and K-TET/Equivalent.
Item I – Main Qualification
Must possess any one of the following qualifications:
Higher Secondary Examination with Arabic as an optional subject or as a second language, or
Afzal-ul-Ulama Preliminary Examination, or
Pre-Degree Examination with Arabic as an optional subject, or
SSLC Examination from an Arabic Oriental School conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala, or from an Academic School where Arabic was studied as the first language, and Higher Secondary Examination, or
Higher Secondary Examination, and Arabic Teachers Examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala, or
Higher Secondary Examination, and Degree/Post Graduate Degree in Arabic awarded or recognized by Universities in Kerala.
All applicants (Item I eligible) must have:
A pass in the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Arabic) or D.El.Ed (Arabic) examination conducted by the Commissioner for Government Examinations, Kerala.
Item II – Only in certain circumstances
These qualifications are applicable only to those who have obtained these qualifications on or before 07th March 2019 or have taken admission in the respective qualifying courses.
Those who have taken admission in the Item-II qualifying courses during the period from 08th March 2019 to 09th June 2024 will be considered only if they have Arabic D.El.Ed qualification as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Applicants under Item-II should have a minimum general educational qualification of SSLC examination pass
K-TET (Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test)
Requirement: Must have passed the Kerala Teacher Eligibility Test-IV (K-TET-IV) conducted by the Government of Kerala for this post.
Those who have passed K-TET Category III are exempted from K-TET Category IV.
Exemption: The following candidates are exempted from K-TET:
CTET / NET / SET / M.Phil / Ph.D.M.Ed holders. (M.Ed subject is not mandatory).Note: Candidates who have qualified C-TET (Primary Stage & Elementary Stage) will not be considered as an alternative to K-TET Category IV.
