Powergrid Corporation under Union Ministry of Power is recruiting trainees in various categories. There are 802 vacancies in 12 sectors.
Posts and Vacancy:
Diploma Trainee
Vacancy- 666 (Electrical- 600, Civil – 66),
Eligibility: Full-time three year Diploma with 70% marks in relevant subject. SC ST A passmark is sufficient for category candidates. Candidates with higher qualification (B.Tech/ BE/ M.Tech./ ME) will not be considered.
Salary: Rs.24000 and H.R.A.I.D.A. and the benefits of
Age: Not more than 27 years.
Junior Officer Trainee:
Vacancy- 114 (H.R.- 79, F.&A.- 35)..
Eligibility: Three years regular degree with 60% marks/ Inter CA) Inter CMA. S. C., ST. A passmark is sufficient for category candidates. Post Graduate/Diploma holders will not be considered.

Age: Not more than 27 years.
Assistant Trainee –
22 (F.&A.).
Eligibility: B.Com with 60% marks. Degree (for SC and ST category pass marks). Candidates with higher qualification (Post Graduation/ Diploma/ CA/ CMA) will not be considered.
Starting Salary: Rs.21500 and HR.A. I.D.A. and the benefits of
Age: Not more than 27 years.
Selection: Selection will be conducted through written test and practical test. The written test will be of two hours duration and will have two parts. Technical/Professional knowledge will be tested in Part 1 of 120 marks. Part 2 will have 50 questions from English Vocabulary, Verbal Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Data Sufficiency, Interpretation, Numerical Ability and General Awareness. Questions will be objective type.

200/- for Assistant Trainee post and 300/- for other posts should be paid online. S. C. ST. Fees are not applicable for caste members, differently abled and ex-servicemen. Fees can be paid up to 12 November 2024.
